Winter Wonderland Brings Respite from Work

What a winter wonderland we had yesterday. A nice day to sit by the fire and catch up on Christmas cards and reading. A much needed break. The snow did not amount to much but it painted the landscape to make a charming tableau. Lucky for us, as the storm gathered blizzard strength as it moved northeast through Tucumcari, the Texas panhandle and on to Kansas.

Sunrise Walks With Cinda

Cinda and I walk one mile every morning at 7:00 AM (just when it gets light now in the winter).  We hike on the BLM land (Bureau of Land Management) that is just behind my house and she loves to run. It's rare for me to see anyone else at this hour, so I feel like Cinda and I have it all to ourselves. Just one more reason why we think it is so great to live in Placitas. Right Cinda? Whoof, whoof (that means yes).

Dive, Dive, Dive

The Cozumel trip is a week of diving at the Scuba Club resort.  We do 2 dives a day then just lounge by the pool in the afternoon.  We always dive on a dive boat with other divers and have a dive master as our tour guide.  We do swim throughs in the reefs and see lots of fish live.  Our first dive is at about 90 to 100 feet and the second dive is about 50 feet.  The visibility is awesome as you can see for about 100 feet and the reef plants are very colorful as are the fish.  It is fun and relaxing as most dives are drift dives so we don't use our fins much.  Night life is relatively quiet after 9:00 as we do start early.  I have over 150 dives so you can see that I really look forward to diving.
